Small and medium sized businesses choose Facebook over local publishers

Facebook added over one million new advertisers in just six months. Most of this growth came from small and medium sized businesses. Facebook encourages users to create ads by making it easy to do so. The platform’s self-service and easy-to-use digital marketing tools helped transform their users into paying marketers.
Small local businesses managing advertising on a strict budget prefer a convenient digital medium over local newspapers. Local newspapers are not yet a comparable advertising alternative to Facebook.
