The pandemic has accelerated the shift to online. The shift to online gives retailers the opportunity to utilize accumulated data to personalize shoppers’ online experiences. However, retailers face major hurdles to realizing the full potential of personalization. These include lack of personnel dedicated to personalization strategies, lack of a clear road map and inadequate cross-functional coordination and project management.
